Marshall Women's Health & Education Center

All class are free and held in the classrooms adjacent to the Marshall Women’s Health & Education Center at Norton Suburban Hospital. Call (502) 899-6300 to speak to a nurse at the Marshall Women's Health & Education Center. Light refreshments are served at all classes.

Circle of Hearts

Circle of Hearts is a free series of classes from Norton Women's Heart Center that is dedicated to educating women about early signs and symptoms, accurate diagnosis and treatment of heart disease and those who are at risk for developing it, including:

  • Early signs and symptoms
  • Accurate diagnosis and treatment
  • Education and wellness information
  • Who is at risk of developing it

Each month a qualified health professional discusses a heart-related topic and leads a question-and-answer session. Women of all ages, as well as interested family members, are encouraged to attend. Light refreshments are served.

Circle of Hearts classes are offered the third Thursday of each month from 6 to 8 p.m. at Norton Audubon Hospital in Audubon Medical Plaza West, G-1, 1 Audubon Plaza Drive.

Safe Sitter

Safe Sitter classes teach adolescents – ages 11 to 13 – how to handle emergencies when caring for younger children.

Heart disease risk screenings

Heart disease risk screenings consist of a full lipid profile, blood pressure check and body fat analysis. For best results, fasting is recommended for 8 to 12 hours prior to the screening. hs-CRP testing, a predictor for heart disease, is also available for $25/person The screening is only $25. Registration is required and can be made by calling (502) 629-1234.
