Colorectal Cancer Treatment and Services

While colorectal cancer is common, it can be treated.  Norton Cancer Institute is dedicated to helping patients with colorectal cancer by combining early detection methods with effective treatment options.

Detection

Routine screenings are the first line of defense against colorectal cancers.  Norton Cancer Institute offers a variety of screening techniques which are used to detect polyps, cancer or other abnormalities including:

  • Colonoscopy
  • Double-Contrast Barium Enema
  • Sigmoidoscopy
  • Fecal Occult Blood Test

Treatment options

Colorectal cancer is diagnosed in stages and treatments are stage specific.  They may include a combination of:

  • Surgery
  • Chemotherapy
  • Radiation therapy
