Prostate Cancer Treatment and Services
While one man in six will get prostate cancer during his lifetime, it is a treatable disease. The Norton Cancer Institute team of specialists can help patients and their families by providing the latest in treatment options.
Detection
As with most cancers, early detection is key to treating prostate cancer. The American Cancer Society recommends that men over the age of 50 have annual digital rectal exams and PSA blood tests. Men who are at high-risk should be screened beginning at age 45. If prostate cancer is suspected, a biopsy may be performed.
