Those who qualify now may register directly through the system’s vaccine invite webpage
Norton Healthcare is assisting the commonwealth of Kentucky and the Louisville Metro Department of Public Health & Wellness in expanding easy access to COVID-19 vaccinations for health care workers in Tier 1a.
Norton Healthcare has been working directly with Louisville Metro Department of Public Health & Wellness to identify and schedule community health care personnel who meet the requirements of Tier 1a from lists provided by the department. It is important to complete this tier as quickly as possible, which will allow us to move to the next tiers and vaccinate more members of our community.
“In order to reach broad immunity, we need to vaccinate about 75% to 80% of the population as quickly as possible,” said Russell F. Cox, president and CEO, Norton Healthcare. “When enough people are protected against this devastating virus, we begin to return to pre-pandemic life.”
Norton Healthcare has launched a direct online link to register for the vaccine. Those who fall into Tier 1a can go to NortonHealthcare.com/COVID-19-Tier-1a to schedule their vaccine appointment. Individuals will be asked to:
- Attest that they meet the requirements for Tier 1a before they can receive the vaccination
- Provide identification and proof of employment at the time of vaccination
“We are in a fortunate position to now be able to help vaccinate communitywide health care providers and professionals who are at risk for contracting COVID-19,” Cox said. “Following the guidance of the commonwealth of Kentucky, we look forward to vaccinating additional tiers as more vaccine doses become available.”
Employees of UofL Health and Baptist Health who fall into Tier 1a should continue to seek vaccinations from their employers.
