Norton Healthcare now is assisting the commonwealth of Kentucky and the Louisville Metro Department of Public Health & Wellness in providing COVID-19 vaccinations for community members who are ages 70 and older.

Norton Healthcare has launched a direct online link to register for the vaccine.

  • Those who are ages 70 and older can go to NortonHealthcare.com/COVID-19-Tier-1b to schedule their vaccine appointment.
  • Individuals will be asked to:
    • Click the tab that asks if they meet the requirements for Tier 1b (age 70 or older)
    • Choose their preferred location
    • Provide identification/proof of age at the time of vaccination

Individuals ages 70 and older who have MyNortonChart will receive a message to direct schedule if they choose. People who have proxy access for a loved one who qualifies will be able to register for them.

If there are no appointments remaining or none of the appointments are convenient for you, please check back soon or select a different location.

“Norton Healthcare will open appointments in the online schedule based on vaccine availability provided by the state and federal governments,” said Steven T. Hester, M.D., MBA, division president, provider operations, and system chief medical officer, Norton Healthcare. “While the vaccine supply is limited, we will continue to open scheduling opportunities as the supply allows.”

“We are in a fortunate position to now be able to help vaccinate our older population as well as communitywide health care providers and professionals,” said Russell F. Cox, president and CEO, Norton Healthcare. “Following the guidance of the commonwealth of Kentucky, we look forward to vaccinating additional community members as more vaccine doses become available.”

Only health care providers and people ages 70 and older can receive a vaccine through Norton Healthcare at this time. Vaccinations are not yet available for the general population.
