Veterans can get urgent care with Norton Healthcare under VA Mission Act

Minor injuries and illness treatment for eligible veterans at Norton Immediate Care Centers and Norton Prompt Care at Walgreens locations

Under the VA Mission Act of 2018, eligible U.S. veterans now are able to get treatment for minor injuries and illnesses such as colds, sore throats and minor skin infections at urgent care clinics through their veterans benefits.

Under the new benefit, veterans don’t need prior approval from the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) to seek urgent care at the 14 Norton Immediate Care Centers or eight Norton Prompt Care at Walgreens locations, which are part of VA’s contracted network of community providers.

Veterans will still have the opportunity to get same-day services from a VA provider.

When checking in at an urgent care clinic such as a Norton Immediate Care Center or Norton Prompt Care at Walgreens location, veterans must state that they are going to use their VA benefit. This will allow the urgent care location to verify eligibility.
