She listens, she sits down when she talks to you, she doesn't rush you, she's thorough when explaining things, she asks questions and really tries to get to the bottom of things, she believes your pain and suffering, she validates, she advocates, she has a truly eclectic knowledge base allowing me to feel comfortable seeing her for multiple issues, and in an age where the quality of healthcare is declining yet people are seeking care more, she instills hope that there are providers still out there that do this job for the right reason. It is so reassuring as someone who's recovering from healthcare related trauma. I never have to feel scared going to her office and that sounds weird but as a mental health therapist, I see patients daily who have fears of doctors after bad experiences. She's one of the good guys and I'll always come back. Thank you.

But a great portion is her empathy, professionalism, and that she has explored intellectual frontiers beyond the parochial shelter of Louisville. I will seriously consider moving out of state if she leaves, or I am still here when she retires. I simply would not trust anyone else with my primary care.
