Norton Healthcare coronavirus test results now are being reported back in a few days, after Gov. Andy Beshear’s support freed up testing supplies and improved turnaround times.

Many tests are being returned in about three days, an improvement from about 10 days during August. The fastest way to receive results is through MyNortonChart.

To provide more access to testing, Norton Healthcare has opened a second drive-thru testing site on West Broadway in addition to the location near Norton Audubon Hospital.

COVID-19 Testing

Whether you have symptoms or not you can make an appointment for a drive thru test online or by phone.

The new COVID-19 drive-thru testing site at the Republic Bank Foundation YMCA building, 1720 W. Broadway, is outside the same building as an existing Norton Healthcare medical practice. Norton Respiratory Illness Testing Center – West Broadway serves individuals who would like to be tested for COVID-19 whether or not they have symptoms. Walk-up participants with an appointment also can be tested.

If you are experiencing symptoms that may be related to COVID-19, you also may receive care at your primary care provider’s office, a Norton Immediate Care Center or a Norton Prompt Care at Walgreens location. A provider will be able to evaluate your symptoms and perform a COVID-19 test if needed.
