Homemade ranch dressing

Salad dressing can sabotage your healthy meal without you even knowing it, as most contain high-fructose corn syrup and other unhealthy ingredients. Dressing is quick and easy to make from scratch — and you’ll be surprised by how much better it tastes than the bottled stuff!

Quickly mix together this ranch dressing recipe to keep track of the ingredients you’re eating and their nutritional values. Try it on your favorite salads, sandwiches, sweet potato fries and homemade pizzas.

Homemade Ranch Dressing

Makes 4 servings

Ingredients

½ cup organic, vegan or light mayonnaise

2 tablespoons water

1 tablespoon lemon juice

1 teaspoon minced garlic

½ tablespoon dried basil

1 teaspoon minced chives

Sea salt and black pepper to taste

Whisk all ingredients in a small bowl until well combined. Cover and refrigerate before serving. The dressing will store for up to one week.
