At Norton Children’s Maternal – Fetal Medicine – Bowling Green, our team is specially trained to care for women with high-risk pregnancies and babies who may face challenges before or after birth. We offer advanced care and compassionate support, working closely with your obstetrician to ensure a seamless, coordinated experience.
If additional care is needed, we provide access to our Level IV and Level III neonatal intensive care units (NICU), including the highest level of neonatal care in Louisville and Southern Indiana through Norton Children’s Hospital (Level IV).

Maternal–fetal medicine, sometimes called MFM, is a specialized area of obstetrics focused on managing high-risk pregnancies. MFM specialists (also called perinatologists) are obstetricians with additional training in handling complex medical, fetal or pregnancy-related conditions.
