To patients and families,

Norton Healthcare and Norton Children’s value being your health care partner and want to inform you of a recent decision made by your insurance carrier, despite our continued efforts to reach a resolution.

Cigna Healthcare has terminated its contract with our organization. This decision to end the contract was made by your insurance carrier, despite our diligent efforts to reach an agreement on fair and adequate reimbursements to provide quality care.

On Sept. 8, 2025, our organization’s existing contract to be an in-network provider for Cigna members will end. Norton Healthcare and Norton Children’s will continue to welcome patients with this insurance plan, but care will be considered out of network.

We are working with Cigna to gather additional details on next steps for patients who are currently receiving oncology, pediatric and prenatal care. Please feel free to call Cigna directly at (800) 997-1654 with questions about how these changes may affect your benefits. For questions about your medical care, please email us at [email protected].

Financial assistance is available for qualifying families. For example, a family of four with a combined household income of approximately $112,000 could be eligible for medically necessary and emergency care at no cost. Families can apply before a medical emergency occurs; and anyone may apply, even if they are not a current patient. Flexible, interest-free payment plans also are available. To apply for this program online, go to NortonHealthcare.com/FinancialAssistance or call (502) 479-6300.

We know you have a choice when it comes to your health care, and we are grateful that you have chosen Norton Healthcare and Norton Children’s.

Sincerely,
Norton Healthcare and Norton Children’s
