Norton Healthcare was named No. 10 on the 2021 Healthiest 100 Workplaces in America by Healthiest Employers for its investment in the health and well-being of its employees.

Norton Healthcare was named No. 10 on the 2021 Healthiest 100 Workplaces in America by Healthiest Employers for its investment in the health and well-being of its employees. In addition, Norton Healthcare was named No. 1 on the 2021 Healthiest Workplace in Kentucky, in the extra-large employer category (more than 10,000 employees).

This award honors organizations that are demonstrating care for their people by investing in health and well-being solutions and initiatives.

“Norton Healthcare is committed to creating and maintaining workforce well-being,” said Allison Ledford, senior director, Prevention & Wellness. “Our commitment continues to be about creating a healthy place to work, supporting healthy choices, cultivating a healthy work-life balance, improving our health and lowering avoidable health care costs.”

The questionnaire, scoring and benchmarking were formed with the help of a national, nonbiased group of representatives from the academic, medical and wellness communities. The metric includes six categories: culture and leadership commitment, foundational components, strategic planning, communications and marketing, programming and interventions, and reporting and analytics.

“Healthiest Employers scores hit record highs in the past year, reflecting a deep level of care and empathy by business and benefits leaders who stand out in their support of their employees’ well-being,” said Haley Elmore, Healthiest Employers program coordinator.

Healthiest Employers was founded over a decade ago by Springbuk to drive meaningful investment in employees’ health and well-being and to accelerate companies’ adoption of data-driven approaches to health initiatives and planning employee benefits.

Through N Good Health, the employee well-being program at Norton Healthcare, employees have access to Y @ Work Fitness Centers on the downtown campus and at Watterson Tower, Rx for Better Health diabetes management program, tobacco cessation programs, wellness workshops, nutrition classes, fitness challenges and more. N Good Health also is open to employees’ spouses who carry health insurance through Norton Healthcare.
