Norton Healthcare names chief financial officer

Adam Kempf succeeds Michael W. Gough, who earlier this month was named chief operating officer

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (Nov. 15, 2017) – Adam Kempf has been named senior vice president and chief financial officer for Norton Healthcare. He succeeds Michael W. Gough, who earlier this month was named chief operating officer. Kempf has been with Norton Healthcare since 2001, most recently serving as senior vice president of finance.

As chief financial officer, Kempf will be responsible for Norton Healthcare’s financial operations, including the operating and capital budgets, accounting systems, audits and long-term financial planning.

“Adam’s financial expertise has been invaluable to Norton Healthcare, and we will benefit from his continued leadership as we meet the health care needs of our patients, families and community, while responding to the changing health care environment,” said Gough, executive vice president and chief operating officer, Norton Healthcare.

A Southern Indiana native, Kempf attended Indiana University and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting. After working in public accounting for six years, he joined Norton Healthcare. He is a certified public accountant, a graduate of Ignite Louisville and Leadership Louisville, and is actively involved with the Kentucky chapter of the Healthcare Financial Management Association.
