Strawberry Melon Agua Fresca

1 ¾ cups strawberries, capped and sliced

2 ½ cups watermelon, removed from rind and cut into 1-inch cubes

¼ cup fresh mint leaves, chopped

1 quart plus 1 cup water

Mint sprigs for garnish

Place strawberries and watermelon into a blender and purée until very smooth. Add the mint and blend, then add the water and combine. Serve chilled or over ice with a mint sprig for garnish. Makes 5 servings.

Chef’s note: Other berries can be substituted for strawberries. Don’t like mint? Try fresh basil instead.
