Norton Healthcare has been named to Forbes’ America’s Best Employers list.
The organization ranked 95 out of 500 large companies (5,000+ employees) in the nation. It is the only health care provider in Kentucky to receive the designation.
“Our employees are the reason Norton Healthcare is the community’s preferred health system,” said Russell F. Cox, president and CEO, Norton Healthcare. “Over the years, Norton Healthcare consistently has been recognized as one of the top employers in the region. We are most proud of the fact that one component of the survey was our own employees’ willingness to recommend Norton Healthcare to someone else.”
At Norton Healthcare, we’re dedicated to helping our employees reach their career goals not only by offering competitive benefits, scholarships and career development programs, but also by creating a community of collaboration to foster excellence among our team members.

Each year, Forbes works with a research firm to measure leading employers around the world to find out which companies stand above the competition. The America’s Best Employers list features 500 employers across 25 industries that were chosen based on the results of an independent survey conducted among 30,000 American employees. Forbes asked them to determine, on a scale of zero to 10, how likely they were to recommend their employer to someone else, as well as how they felt about other employers in their industry. Employees were contacted anonymously online without the involvement of their employer. Respondents included in the sample are representative of the U.S. workforce by gender, age, region, education and ethnicity.
Along with this recognition, Norton Healthcare recently was named a Workplace of the Year by Advisory Board. Cox said, “these recognitions are a testament to having an engaged staff that is passionate about caring for our community.”
