Diabetes Support | Norton Healthcare Louisville, Ky.

Diabetes Support

Certified diabetes educators specialize in diabetes care, medication and nutrition. As a patient of Norton Healthcare, you can request an individual, one-on-one training session with one of our certified educators. They will walk you through your treatment plan, discuss lifestyle changes and connect you with our support group and community resources. Diabetes is complex, and having someone help you understand and navigate your care is one of the best ways to improve your health. Diabetes is not just what you do and don’t eat.

In addition to establishing a relationship with a diabetes educator, you can reference the below videos for common questions and topics relating to diabetes care and diet.

Support Group

Let’s Chat is a virtual support group offered monthly through Zoom. Sessions are led by endocrinology provider Stacy Koch, APRN. Stacy, a nurse practitioner, provides education and an opportunity to connect and talk with other people who have diabetes. Each month there is a topic of focus — past topics have included coping with diabetes, healthy eating, exercise and medications. For more information on how you can get involved, call (502) 629-2604.
