Workforce Development

Norton Healthcare’s workforce development team offers a number of educational opportunities to develop a challenging and meaningful career. Our programs are available at the high school, college and career levels. Programs and opportunities are available for students, future employees and current employees.

Norton Healthcare Scholars Program

The Norton Healthcare Scholars Program provides tuition assistance to students pursuing or continuing a health care-related degree in an identified key area of workforce need. The amount of funding received per calendar year is based on the degree program.

Student Nurse Apprenticeship Program

The Student Nurse Apprenticeship Program (SNAP) welcomes student nurses during their junior year of a Bachelor of Science in nursing program or with one semester completion in an Associate of Science in nursing program. If selected, you can elect to work in one of our many hospitals throughout the region in multiple specialty areas.

SNAP is a 12- to 18-month apprenticeship in which you will work and engage in hands-on learning with an experienced mentor in addition to becoming acclimated to the Norton Healthcare system. Top area student nurses with good grades, good references and a desire to be the best will gain the skills and confidence to deliver quality patient care — and you’ll be paid for it!

Scholarships

Norton Healthcare is proud to offer a variety of scholarship opportunities designed to support the academic and professional growth of students pursuing careers in health care. These programs reflect our commitment to investing in the next generation of skilled, compassionate health care professionals. Whether you are beginning your educational journey or advancing your career, Norton Healthcare scholarship opportunities provide valuable financial assistance and recognition for your dedication to excellence in patient care and community health.
