Norton Healthcare’s Office of Workforce Development offers a number of educational opportunities to develop a challenging and meaningful career. Our programs are available at the high school, college and career levels. Programs and opportunities are available for students, future employees and current employees.
The Norton Healthcare Scholars program provides educational assistance to students pursuing or continuing a health care-related degree in an identified key area of workforce need. The amount of funding received per calendar year is based on the degree program.
The Student Nurse Apprenticeship Program (SNAP) welcomes student nurses during their junior year of a Bachelor of Science In Nursing program or with one semester completion in an Associate of Science in Nursing program. If selected, you can elect to work in one of our many hospitals throughout the region in multiple specialty areas.
SNAP is a 12- to 18-month apprenticeship in which you will work and engage in hands-on learning with an experienced mentor in addition to becoming acclimated to Norton Healthcare. Top area student nurses with good grades, good references and a desire to be the best will gain the skills and confidence to deliver quality patient care — and you’ll be paid for it!
Norton Healthcare provides a limited number of $2,000 scholarships to dependents of employees interested in pursuing a health care-related field. These scholarships are made possible through the James R. Petersdorf Fund.
