Volunteer at the GE Appliances Kentucky Derby Festival miniMarathon & Marathon

Norton Sports Health is pleased to be a presenting sponsor and the official medical provider for this year’s GE Appliances Kentucky Derby Festival miniMarathon and Marathon. As with previous events, our partnerships requires that we provide on-site medical care.

The GE Appliances Kentucky Derby Festival miniMarathon and Marathon is a long-standing tradition held every spring. Participants will start at Louisville Slugger Field in downtown Louisville and run through numerous neighborhoods, experiencing all aspects of our wonderful city, including a run through the infield of historic Churchill Downs, home of the Kentucky Derby. The finish line is at Lynn Family Stadium, home of Louisville FC and Racing Louisville, where participants will be greeted by family and friends for our post-race party.

Volunteers Needed

We encourage physicians, residents, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, certified registered nurse anesthetists, nurses, certified medical assistants, certified athletic trainers, paramedics and other medical professionals to offer their time and expertise. Nonclinical employees and family members also are needed to help direct and register athletes and assist in other areas.

All nonclinical positions for employee/family volunteers have been filled for 2024.
