Precise Chest X-ray for Precise Treatment

As a leading provider of pulmonary disease care for Louisville and Southern Indiana, Norton Pulmonary Specialists offers a full range of testing options, including chest X-rays.

Having the latest tests available means having the best information for diagnosis and treatment. Chest X-rays are performed at all four Norton Healthcare adult-service hospitals and two of our office locations: Newburg Road and Pleasure Ridge Park.

Performing tests in our own facilities allows our team to give you a precise diagnosis faster and start working on treatment.

Chest X-rays are one of our most commonly performed diagnostic tests. A chest X-rays shows the heart, lungs, airways, blood vessels and the bones of the spine and chest. A chest X-ray can also let us see whether there is fluid in or around your lungs or if there is air surrounding a lung.

Chest X-rays help our team of physicians diagnose and treat pulmonary conditions.

What a Chest X-ray Can Show

Using this basic diagnostic tool, we can learn about your respiratory system. Chest X-rays can show cancer, infection, emphysema or cystic fibrosis, and whether air has leaked into the space between your lung and chest wall, causing a collapsed lung.

We also use chest X-rays to track how you are responding to treatment.
