Belonging

By focusing on psychological safety, intersectionality and diversity of thought, we are striving to create an atmosphere where our patients and staff feel accepted. We can succeed only when we lead with respecting every person and promoting our culture of belonging.

Commitment to Language Services

At Norton Healthcare, belonging starts with understanding, and understanding starts with communication. We are proud to offer dedicated language services to our limited-English proficient (LEP) and deaf/hard of hearing patients, helping to ensure that our patients and their families feel heard, respected and included.

On-site Interpreters

On-site interpreters are the preferred method for communicating with patients who are limited-English proficient (LEP) or deaf/hard of hearing.

Video-Remote Interpreters

Video-remote interpretation, using iPads provided at your location by Language Line Solutions, is best used in situations when an on-site interpreter is preferred, but is not immediately available. The use of video for interpreting is an evolving, but currently limited, service.

Telephone/Audio Only Interpreters

Over-the-phone interpretation is a convenient resource for immediate access to nearly 200 spoken languages.

Employee Resource Groups: Empowering Connection and Growth

At Norton Healthcare, employee resource groups (ERGs) play a vital role in building an inclusive, supportive, and empowered workplace. These company-sponsored, employee-led groups align with our mission, vision, values and strategic priorities, and are open to all employees.

ERGs provide space for connection, professional development and shared purpose. Through executive sponsorship and cross-functional collaboration, they:

  • Foster inclusion and engagement across departments
  • Support career growth and leadership development
  • Strengthen community impact through volunteerism and nonprofit partnerships
  • Promote equity, belonging, and cultural awareness in the workplace

ERGs are more than just groups—they’re engines of change, helping employees feel seen, valued and connected. Together, they help shape a workplace where every voice matters and every person belongs.
